Adrian Hawksley was one of the inspirations behind the Ridgeway Theatre Company and for many years was our Patron. He encouraged us to put on our first production - Oh, What a Lovely War! - in 1998 to raise funds for the church roof appeal.

He loved Holy Cross Church and saw it as a gathering place for the whole village as well as a place of worship.

He died in October 2009 and the company subscribed to a paver in the Prospect Hospice’s new Bluebell Walk to mark our love and respect for him.

He is sorely missed.
